"Chronicles of The Weird West": Soundtrack for A Video/Multimedia Project?

Several weeks ago I bought an acoustic guitar and have been amazed by my own depth of fascination and absorbtion in the process of playing an acoustic instrument after years of programming synthesizers and editing music on a computer workstation. I have been reworking some older sequencer-based compositions and mixing new ones with the objective of trying to feature the acoustic guitar sound prominantly in the finished mix. None of the following tracks are necessarily "completed" compositions, but I am beginning to think this might be good soundtrack music to accompany a new video featuring photography and audio field recordings from a trip to the Klondike that Steve Lowther and I made back in the last years of the twentieth century...

Glade Beyond The Pines (based on Steve Lowther's MIDI file entitled "Glade.midi", the original mix of which appeared on freesoundtrackmusic as a very synthetic and programmed sounding techno track)

Alien Tumbleweeds Soundtrack for a scene featuring a melancholy cowboy sitting by the campfire and strumming a sorrowful tune out a lonely alien desert landscape. Based on Steve Lowther's MIDI file labeled "20160521.midi".

Lament For Westworld: Some may ask: is this brave new world of multifunction hand-held (or wearable) intelligent technology really increasing what the Bhutanese call "Gross National Happiness"? This is music for the sadness inspired by the increasing dominance of technology - for that moment when you realize than once vibrant human communities have become like Wild West ghost towns inhabited by animatronic characters from the Yul Brynner film "Westworld". Based on Steve Lowther's MIDI file labeled "20160406.midi".

Shootout in Rhumbaville: An acoustic guitar chord progression onto which I pasted a mashup of some of John Bannister's Trumpet playing from the Stargazer Jazz recording sessions to try to create some Mexican Western flavouring. This track is currently very basic, but I think it has some potential for further development...

Bright Night Sky: Inspired by the endless daylight during summer in the Yukon. This track is a new composition which started as a track of guitar chord strumming which I imported to a sequencer and then added techno style drum, bass and sythesizer melody. The end result is maybe more dancefloor than cowboy music, but I think it still fits into the "Weird West bucket".
